What is Occupational Therapy?

Occupational Therapy (OT) is about helping people do the things that they need or want to do. We use various means to help people do this, including assistive technology, environmental or task modification and/or compensatory strategies.

Where do we work?

OT Essentials deliver therapy in your ‘natural environments’, whether that be at home, work or out in the community.

We come to you, as we are an in-home and community-based service.

We also provide telehealth/video conference services where appropriate and depending on client preferences.

We deliver services in the Geelong, Bellarine Peninsula, Surf Coast and Colac areas.

What are our fees?

• NDIS participants will be invoiced at the hourly rate as set out in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits guide.
• Home Care Packages: $193.99 / hour
• Self-funded clients: $193.99 / hour
• TAC rates as determined between OT Essentials and TAC
• Reports and non-face-to-face tasks are charged at the above hourly rates

Travel is charged at the above hourly rates and non-labour travel costs (currently $0.97/km) are also charged where applicable. Where possible, multiple appointments are scheduled in similar locations to minimise travel costs to participants (i.e. travel costs are shared amongst participants where possible).
